Pool Closing Instructions
Try our easy closing kit or do it yourself with the following steps.
Pool Closing Checklist
Day 1
- Put winter chemicals into the pool.
- Winter Algaecide
- 5 lbs Granular Chlorine or Shock for 20,000 gallons of water
- Adjust PH
Day 2
- Lightly vacuum pool.
- Lower water level to below the skimmer.
- Remove skimmer baskets, eyeballs and plugs to store for next year.
- Blow the pluming lines out. Screwing a shop-vac into the skimmer can do this.
- Put rubber plug or cap on returns and pool sweep lines.
- Drain filtration system.
- Drain pump, filter and chlorinating equipment
- Remove energy jar and water from pool sweep
- Remove deck Equipment.
- Install pool cover.
